Ten Tops of ShangHai World Expo

Expo 2010 started at 8:10pm, April 30, 2010(Beijing time) in Shanghai. There are ten records be chosen as tops in the world.

1. The number of Countries and organizations participated is the largest: There are more than 240 countries and international organizations participate in Expo 2010, exceeding the Hannover Expo, which 172 countries and international organizations had participated in.

2. The number of volunteers is the largest: Expo 2010 puts forward higher requirements to volunteers. In the World Expo Park and volunteer service stations, 200 thousand volunteers, mainly are young people, provide excellent services to visitors from all over the world. The number of volunteers of Expo 2010 is the most.

3. The number of self-built museums is the largest: The number of self-built museums of formal participators is approximately 40, which is the largest number compared compared with all previous World Expo.

4. The first one who holds Expo online: The organizer of Expo 2010 holds the expo tangible and at the same time holds the Expo online in a creative way.

5. The world’s largest single area of solar roof: The solar panels area of Shanghai World Expo 2010 theme pavilion’s roof amounts to 30 thousand square meters, being the largest single area of solar roof in the world.

6. The largest ecological green wall in the world: The area of the ecological green wall of Expo 2010 covers 5000 square meters.

7. The number of public lavatory is the largest: There are more than 30 public lavatories, over 8000 cubicles in the Expo 2010 Park.

8. The number of old buildings is largest: There are 2 million square meters of historic buildings preserved and protected in the Expo 2010 Park.

9. The area of the Expo 2010 Park is the largest: The Expo 2010 Park in downtown area covers 5.28 square kilometers.

10. The cost of Expo 2010 is the highest: The direct investment for Expo 2010 is 28.6 billion RMB. If plus investment of auxiliary constructions, financial budget will reach 300-400 billion RMB.
