iPad 2 Keyboard Case Is Not Heavy
A locked iPad 2 isn’t an instant-on feature, it’s simply a matter of unlocking iPad 2 keyboard case. If it’s shut down (no power at all being used) then boots up, it takes an average amount of time to boot up. My netbook would be considered instant-on as well, if that were the true definition, however actual boot up is still quite speedy at roughly 30-40 seconds from power-on to desktop.
If I could find a window’s tablet with the same number of features, strong application development and build quality as an iPad 2, I would happily hand over my Ipad. As it stands, nothing touches it for the price. So I could drop $1200+ on the ep121 (Which is beautiful and functional), or I could purchase an apple product and buy a keyboard ( or iPad 2 keyboard case) to compliment it. Will it replace my laptop? No. Will it outperform the similarly priced competition? Yes.
And the biggest kicker isn’t really overall cost. It’s that this solution turns it into an underpowered laptop/netbook where the weight is so off it tips backwards because the ipad is not heavy in relation to the iPad 2keyboard case.
